Banana Nut Fudge Bowl

So, in my last post about Food and Pregnancy, I shared that I’m not having much “luck” with sweet or carby foods during my baby-growing season. This treat was definitely riding the fence on what’s okay and what’s NOT okay for this mama. But I’m happy to report that I could definitely eat this with enjoyment and was not subject to any weird post-treat pregnancy drama.

Most people, including pregnant women would absolutely love this dish! It’s smooth and chocolatey and the toppings are customizable to your personal favorites!

This bowl is what happens when you cross a smoothie bowl with my chocolate avocado pudding! It’s too creamy and thick to be a smoothie, but too cold and complex to be a pudding! So I’ve dubbed it the FUDGE BOWL. Sounds amazing, right?

This was absolutely delicious and a perfect lunchtime superfood boost!

Fudgy Bowl

Banana Nut Fudge Bowl

1 frozen banana
3 kale leaves
1/2 avocado
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
2 scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen
1 tsp maca powder
2-3 ice cubes
sea salt sprinkle

Toppings.
sliced banana
cacao nibs
toasted mixed nuts

  1. Add all bowl ingredients to a high-powered blender. I usually put the greens at the bottom of the blender so everything blends evenly (just a little pro tip I learned through lots of experience).
  2. Once smooth, spread into a dessert ramekin and top with your favorite toppings! I made mine “banana nut” by slicing some fresh banana and toasted nuts!
