Turmeric Sweet Potato Mash

If you’ve recently been on my instagram, then you’re probably aware of my current love for anything I can make into a “bowl”.

My latest bowl was not of the acai or smoothie variety. During the cooler months I’d rather have something closer to an oatmeal. So I decided to steam a sweet potato and create a similar “oatmeal” feel without all the grain!

This mash uses some of my homemade almond milk, but you can use any milk you like. I also topped this mash various items stashed away in my fridge and kitchen. Please feel the freedom to make it your own! Use different fruits, nuts, or even yogurt! Same goes for the spices in the mash. I love the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric and the cardamom chia pudding added another amazing layer of flavor. Spices like cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, cardamom, and nutmeg would all taste AH-MAZING mixed in the mash.
