Turmeric Hot Chocolate

My socks are on! Which means it’s officially cold weather in the southern California region. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still wearing my flips flops on the regular. Just not so much at night or early mornings.

I had been dying to make a turmeric version of Hot Chocolate ever since a friend mentioned she put it in hers. My dilemma was that I’d always want it at night (aka. cozy time) but I CANNOT indulge in 1. sugar or 2. chocolate before bed. I will most certainly lay wide awake as my body tries to metabolize the caffeine and/or come down off a sugar spike.

So I waited and waited until that fateful day when it was blustery and dreary outside and I could make a yummy cup of cocoa at 1 in the afternoon. It was worth it for sure. Hot Cocoa is a great vehicle for some superfoods like joint strengthening collagen peptides, or anti-inflammtory spices, even hormone supporting fats like coconut or ghee.

What I’m saying is that this is basically health food. You’re welcome.
